Supplier Delivery Improvement Representative
Location: BSL Northallerton, England, United Kingdom
Responsibilities
* Work on site at suppliers’ factories in the UK, Poland, and India as required.
* Identify areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with suppliers to optimize quality, delivery and cost by implementing process change and performance tracking mechanisms.
* Onboard new suppliers and quality assure using internal processes.
* Implement supply chain improvement initiatives.
* Analyse supply chain data and performance.
* Track and report status on part shortages.
* Communicate and manage delivery priorities while on site with supplier.
* Work with supplier to eliminate issues causing late deliveries.
* Work with supplier to ensure parts are shipped on time.
* Communicate delivery status to Nashville supply chain and operations team.
Qualifications
* 5-7 years of experience in process/quality improvement, sourcing, and/or engineering
* College degree or equivalent work experience
* 50% travel to suppliers’ sites
* Strong team player with the ability to direct, delegate and influence across a matrixed organization
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Strong project management skills
* Ability to work independently as well as in a team
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Effective problem-solving skills
* Ability to handle demanding situations calmly and efficiently
* Manufacturing experience with machining, forming, and processing
* Experience of working in Airbus Supply Chain an advantage
