The postholder will administrate the planned and unplanned teaching cover requirements of the Academy, ensure the cover organisation is of a high standard, is cost effective and meets Academy needs. The postholder is responsible for co-ordinating lesson cover in line with Academy procedures and national guidelines. This role will involve an early morning start of 6.30am in order to ensure accessibility to the best agency teaching staff and meet the high expectations of the Academy.

About you

You will have:

* strong understanding of learning processes, barriers to learning, and behaviour management strategies to support effective lesson delivery.
* the ability to build effective learning relationships with students to support their progress.
* ability to build great relationships with teachers and academy staff, contributing positively to the wider school community.
* the confidence to manage and supervise classes effectively, maintaining a calm and productive learning environment.
* excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and sensitively.
* good organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* sound working knowledge of IT to support teaching and learning, including Microsoft Office and internet use.
* the ability to manage classroom activities and resources safely and effectively.
* emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Applicants are advised to refer to the full requirements of the role in the attached job description and person specification, prior to submitting an application.
