Good afternoon,
We are currently recruiting temporary workers to support a large-scale packing project at a private boarding school.
Date: 21/02/2026
Start Time: 9:00am
Minimum Hours: 4 hours (must be available for the full day until the job is completed)
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour
Role Overview
This position involves assisting with the packing, transporting, and storing of students' belongings at a private school. The work takes place during the school term, school holidays, and other busy periods. These are blue‑collar/porter-style roles requiring hands-on, physical work and a reliable, proactive attitude.
You will be part of a team responsible for safely organising and moving items from student rooms to designated storage areas. Full training and instruction will be provided on the day.
Key Responsibilities
Carefully pack student belongings into labelled boxes.
Transport, load, and unload boxes and personal items as directed.
Move items between dormitories, storage rooms, and transport vehicles.
Follow handling instructions to ensure belongings are kept safe and undamaged.
Work efficiently as part of a team to complete the job within required timelines.
Maintain tidy work areas and follow any site safety procedures.
Communicate with supervisors regarding progress or issues.
Requirements
Must be available from 9am and free to work until the project is fully completed on the day.
Physically fit and comfortable with lifting, carrying, and moving boxes.
Good teamwork skills and a positive work attitude.
Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions.
Previous experience in porter, warehouse, removal, or manual-handling roles is beneficial but not essential.
