Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Support Officer to support the Public Health service and facilitate the smooth running of the public health office. The role involves providing administrative support across all areas of Public Health, including corporate governance, HR, health and safety, public health partnerships, business continuity and service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Provide diary and email support to senior management and Delivery Manager.
* Assist Office Coordinators with day‑to‑day operations.
* Act as a secretariat and offer project management support to key Public Health Partnerships.
* Support the Public Health Office in implementing key initiatives and strategic themes.
* Prepare minutes and set up meetings, maintaining accurate records.
* Update and monitor information on SharePoint and other shared platforms.
Qualifications
* Relevant office experience and a good standard of education.
* Proactive, forward‑thinking, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
* High level IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
* Experience in a public‑sector or public‑health environment is preferred.
