We are seeking a skilled Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer with some electrical knowledge to join our team in Halifax. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing production efficiency.
Shift requirements:
Standard basic hours include working days, nights, weekends. You will be working 12 hour shifts. Shift pattern can be discussed further and more information provided however involves rotating days and nights in a 5 on 2 off, 2 on 5 off pattern.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and machinery, with some electrical tasks as needed.
* Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
* Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to improve system reliability and performance.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications:
* Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and maintenance practices, with some electrical experience.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
