Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Portrush for a Junior Sous Chef. The Junior Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Responsibilities include managing kitchen staff, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining high culinary standards. The Junior Sous Chef will also contribute to menu development and ensure consistent quality in all dishes served.
Qualifications
* Proficient in food preparation, cooking, and plating
* Experience in kitchen staff management and food safety standards
* Skills in inventory management and maintaining hygiene standards
* Menu development and quality control experience
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Culinary certification or relevant qualification is preferred
* Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is a plus
* NVQ 2/3 or equivalent
* AA Rosette cooking previous experience preferred
