Carpentry & Joinery Technician Location: Rotherham Salary: Dependant on Experience Hours: Full - Time - 37 Hours Contract: Temporary until 19th December 2025 This role supports the delivery of construction learning programmes by maintaining workshop spaces, equipment, and materials. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to prepare resources, ensure safety standards, and contribute to a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include: * Safe use of machinery and equipment * Storing and issuing materials * Maintaining tools and workshop areas * Preparing materials for student projects * Assisting with deliveries and stocktaking * Conducting risk assessments and maintaining records * Supporting First Aid provision * Promoting the safeguarding and welfare of students * Collaborating across craft areas within the department Candidate requirements: * Current ENHANCED DBS within the last three months or on update service * Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy * IOSH Managing Safely or willingness to train * Forklift Truck trained * Craft Certificate (NVQ Level 1) or equivalent * Experience in the Construction Industry * Commitment to safe working practices and safeguarding Apply now
