Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Dynamics Platform Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll apply your software engineering expertise to build new features, resolve bugs, and tackle technical debt. You’ll also take a strategic view of our team’s processes and tooling, helping us continuously improve how we work and deliver high‑quality, valuable software to our customers.
What you'll be doing
* Build clean, maintainable features and resolve end‑to‑end issues using thoughtful approaches to ensure effective delivery of high‑quality outcomes.
* Ensure solutions are fit for purpose, aligned with engineering best practices, and provide meaningful business value while adhering to quality standards.
* Contribute to the strategy for managing technical debt to maintain secure, resilient, and reliable systems across Legal & General.
* Define and implement test strategies that prioritize security, usability, and accessibility to enhance the overall customer experience.
* Conduct and participate in code reviews with a focus on functional and non‑functional requirements, including performance, resiliency, maintainability, and security.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging inspection and adaptation to enhance team effectiveness, productivity, and wellbeing.
* Mentor and support less experienced engineers in their professional development.
* Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities to integrate them into our platforms, sharing insights to inspire innovation across the team.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated advanced proficiency in at least two of the following platforms is essential:
o Dynamics 365 Customer Service
o Dynamics 365 Sales
o Power Apps
o Power Automate
o Power BI
o SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
o Logic Apps
o Azure Data Factory
* Proven ability to design and implement large‑scale, well‑optimised, and maintainable software features.
* Strong track record of analysing, debugging, and resolving highly complex technical issues.
* Experience in conducting and contributing to effective code reviews, offering constructive and actionable feedback.
* Ability to evaluate all relevant factors and make informed decisions when determining technical approaches.
* Sound grasp of software testing principles and practices.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern release strategies.
* Practical experience working within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
