Overview
Junior Fellow – The Air Ambulance Service (TAAS) is seeking two regional ST3 or above doctors to join our new PHEM development programme. One post will be based at Helimed 53 (Coventry Airport) and one at Helimed 54 (Nottingham Heliport). This is a voluntary part-time post for a fixed term of 12 months, starting in January 2026.
Location: 2 Positions – Coventry and Nottingham
Closing date: Sunday 19 October. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by 31 October. Interview information: shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend selection interviews at Nottingham Heliport on 18 November 2025.
Responsibilities
Successful applicants will be provided with an immersive introduction to Prehospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) including experience with the ambulance service; supervised clinical shifts (car and helicopter) with TAAS; attendance at TAAS training days and clinical discussion meetings; opportunities to undertake research/audit/QIPS/publications; and mentorship from experienced PHEM clinicians. The Junior Fellow post provides an opportunity to develop knowledge and experience of PHEM suitable to prepare an application to national subspecialty training or a full-time fellowship post.
