An exciting career opportunity has arisen within this dynamic, creative family run business for a Trainee in our rug making and sampling departments. You will work as part of our busy rug edging team, and be fully trained in creating bespoke, high quality, luxury rugs. You will also become a crucial member of our sampling team, making and preparing sample orders to be distributed throughout the UK and globally, plus there are opportunities to help within other warehouse departments, making this a busy and varied role.

Key Responsibilities:
* Edging rugs (Both bespoke in size and shape) alongside other team members.
* Being a crucial part of all stages of the rug production process, including cutting, chamfering, sewing and finishing in a variety of edge and border types.
* To work within the sampling department, to help assist with making samples and preparing sample orders.
* You may also be called upon to assist with the preparation of exhibitions and trade shows, and to assist other departments within the warehouse when needed.
Required Skills:
Both departments are incredibly busy, therefore the successful candidate will need;
* To be able to work as part of a team, and independently.
* Initiative and an eye for detail.
* Take pride in good workmanship, with a mind for practical work.
* A positive, can-do attitude.
* This role requires regular heavy lifting and the use of vibrating tools (e.g. chamfering machine) as part of daily tasks. Candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
* A full UK driving license is preferred but not essential to support occasional deliveries and trade show setups as needed.
* Previous experience working with sewing, machining, textiles or crafting would be an advantage but is absolutely not essential because extensive training will be provided.
