Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: £13.75 – £15 per hour
A forward-thinking and nurturing primary school in Orrell (WN5) is looking to appoint a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to provide full-time classroom support. This role involves working alongside the class teacher to help deliver engaging lessons, offer targeted support to pupils, and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere as the children prepare for their move to secondary school.

Essential Criteria:
* A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience supporting pupils in KS2, ideally within Year 6.
* Confidence assisting with upper KS2 curriculum content.
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* A patient, encouraging attitude with strong communication skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships and show initiative.
Main Duties:
* Provide learning support to individuals and small groups across Year 6.
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, activities, and classroom organisation.
* Help create and prepare resources to support learning.
* Encourage pupils’ participation, independence, and resilience.
* Support routines, transitions, and behaviour expectations.
* Work closely with teaching staff and the SENDCo to support progress and wellbeing.
* Contribute to a calm, purposeful, and inclusive learning environment.
