HGV Technician – Redditch

Are you an experienced HGV Technician ready for your next challenge? We’re expanding our busy Redditch Team and are looking for a proactive and skilled HGV Technician to join our team on a full time contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of in-house fleet repairs, work with a supportive team, and develop your skills in a dynamic environment.

Pay Rates:
1. £18.90 per hour Monday to Friday (£19.60 per hour if have C+E licence).
2. £28.35 per hour after 40 hours per week.
3. Bank holidays paid at 2.5 x hourly rate.
Shift Patterns:
4. 06:00 – 15:00 week 1
5. 11:00 – 20:00 week 2
6. Shift rotation
Your Role:
7. Inspect and maintain our HGV fleet to meet both legal and company standards.
8. Prepare vehicles for MOT and handle transport to the Test Centre.
9. Record defects and maintain accurate service records.
10. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including minor accident damage.
11. Work with a range of vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment.
12. Deliver high standards of customer service and collaborate effectively with the wider team.
What We’re Looking For:
13. Experience in a similar role (essential).
14. Hands-on commercial HGV experience.
15. A can-do attitude and ability to work independently.
16. Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
17. Attention to detail with excellent record-keeping.
18. Team player.
Qualifications:
19. City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3 / BTEC / IMI in Motor Vehicle Management
20. Or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry
