Job Title: Creator & Social Strategist, Whalar EMEA, Director
Work Location: Hybrid, Farringdon, London, UK
Start Date: ASAP

The role is part of Whalar\'s Creator & Social Strategist, EMEA team, reporting to the EMEA Director of Creative Strategy. It is an opportunity to lead the future of creator-first creative strategy and to work on innovative strategies for key clients and new business pitches.


Responsibilities

* Lead development of creative, culturally relevant, insight-driven strategies that place creators at the center of brand storytelling
* Build full-funnel social strategies tailored to platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Reddit
* Translate brand and campaign objectives into actionable creator-led ideas, content frameworks, and publishing plans
* Partner with internal teams and partner agencies to identify and activate creators who authentically align with brand values and goals
* Own and shape social ecosystems that integrate organic and paid tactics, aligned with performance and content goals
* Inspire clients with strategic direction and creative possibilities grounded in data, culture, and platform trends
* Lead and facilitate strategic workshops with clients to unlock creator-led marketing potential
* Stay ahead of emerging cultural signals, platform changes, and content trends to inform strategies and thought leadership
* Collaborate across pitches, campaigns, and onboarding moments, owning timelines and deliverables from strategy to execution


Qualifications

* 8+ years in creative, social media or content strategy within a digital or creator-first environment
* Proven experience developing creator and social campaigns that meet business and marketing objectives
* Strategic thinker with a strong grasp of the full marketing funnel and creator-led content
* Ability to build strategies rooted in business goals with a clear grasp of when to use paid, earned, or organic approaches
* Platform fluency across key channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and understanding of formats, algorithms and user behavior
* Experience designing social ecosystems with content calendars, audience segmentation and measurement frameworks
* Strong cultural curiosity and storytelling instincts that resonate with audiences and drive brand relevance
* Data-to-insight skills that shape creative and strategic direction
* Clear, persuasive communicator capable of leading teams and presenting to clients
* Confident leading workshops, brainstorms and presentations with senior stakeholders
* Highly organized with strong project management and collaborative approach
* Natural relationship builder who can earn trust and identify growth opportunities for clients and teams
