About Our Client
Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing FMCG company based in Leighton Buzzard. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance team.
Job Description
Credit Controller
3. Proactively manage and collect debts from a portfolio of B2B customers
4. Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate action
5. Issue customer statements and reminder letters/emails
6. Maintain accurate records of communications and payment arrangements
7. Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries in collaboration with sales and customer service teams
8. Place accounts on stop or release credit holds as required
9. Prepare and distribute aged debt reports to management
10. Assist with cash allocation and reconciliation of customer accounts
11. Recommend accounts for escalation to legal or external collection agencies when necessary
The Successful Applicant
A successful Credit Controller should have:
12. Previous experience in a Credit Control role, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution
13. Strong communication and negotiation skills
14. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
15. Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Sage, Oracle) and Excel
16. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
17. Confident, professional, and customer-focused approach
