About the opportunity:
Join the Sizewell C (SZC) project—one of the UK’s largest low‑carbon megaprojects. The role manages delivery of the Civils scope within the Nuclear Services Agreement (NSA), ensuring the contractor delivers engineering and design services on time, to budget, and aligned with project requirements. You will oversee the Civils portion of the NSA contract, act as the main point of contact between SZC and the contractor, and ensure technical deliverables meet schedule, cost, and quality expectations. Strong links with the Civils Delivery Programme are essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee execution of NSA services for Civils scope.
2. Manage Early Warnings, risks, Compensation Events, and Variations.
3. Provide challenge, cost insight, and approval for additional scope or Task Orders.
4. Escalate issues when required.
5. Own end‑to‑end Civils contract scope.
6. Ensure deliverables meet replication/configuration rules.
7. Secure input and oversight from SZC teams (, Review & Acceptance).
8. Maintain consistency across engineering and programme packages.
9. Build strong relationships with SZC Engineering Integration, Contractor discipline leads, and internal NSA teams.
10. Represent NSA in meetings and reporting forums.
11. Work closely with Programme Engineering Managers and Nuclear Services teams.
12. Track and report financial, technical, and schedule metrics.
13. Capture impacts to budget and delivery baseline.
14. Contribute to monthly reporting on PI scope.
Here's What You'll Need:
15. Experience on major infrastructure projects (nuclear preferred).
16. Strong contract management and technical governance experience.
17. Ability to resolve complex issues and manage ambiguity.
18. Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder skills.
19. Able to manage multiple workstreams and work independently.
20. Strong MS Office skills; proactive attitude.
Desirable
21. PMI or similar project management qualification.
22. Knowledge of nuclear standards, EPR design, and civil engineering.
23. Understanding of commercial aspects of major projects.
24. French language or HPC project experience.
25. Experience in tendering for design/manufacturing/installation contracts.
26. Chartered or working towards chartership.
27. Continuous improvement mindset.
