Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our Practice team. We are a forward-thinking and innovative Practice. You will be led and supported by our lead Practice Nurse.
You will engage in a variety of roles, primarily based around core general practice nursing. This will provide an opportunity to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Job responsibilities
The primary roles of this position are:
* Undertake new patient and NHS checks, emphasizing the importance of health promotion.
* ECG recording and 24-hour BP monitoring.
* Undertake wound care and dressings.
* Perform spirometry tests (interpretations will be undertaken by a nurse).
* Support the management of chronic disease clinics, such as CVD, diabetic health check reviews, dementia, and SMI reviews.
* Support the operational running of the nursing team, e.g., vaccine cold storage, fridge monitoring and recording, chaperoning, room stocking, checking emergency drugs/bags, processing laboratory samples.

* Qualified Health Care Assistant.
Experience
* Experience of working in teams to deliver Primary Care Services to our patients.
