About the job Weâre looking for a commercially driven and customer-focused Sales Team Manager to join our Sales & Partnershipâs leadership team in our Manchester office. As a Sales Team Manager, you will motivate and lead your team in identifying and achieving commercial goals, KPIâs and revenue growth while providing best-in-class experiences to ourâ¯automotive retailer customers, occasionally supporting customers yourself. Using your proactive approach and curiosity, you will understand the changing market and identify opportunities to drive customer success. The key to being successful in this role will be your ability to develop individuals within your team, enabling them to progress their careers within Autotrader and improving their capability to ensure we provide brilliant experiences for our customers. You will achieve this by setting clear objectives/KPIs and carrying out regular 1-1, PDP, and quarterly review conversations.⯠You will have an adaptable coaching style that will allow you to understand peopleâs motivators to ensure they develop their capabilities to manage changing customer demands and market conditions. Using a collaborative approach and great communication skills, you will create an environment where best practices are shared and at the heart of what you do. Leading by example, you will create an inclusive team culture that creates a platform for success and enables people to develop and thrive. What we're looking for You will be passionate about people and have evidence of developing, coaching, and mentoring colleagues to achieve commercial goals First-hand experience in managing a team within a sales environment. Business to Business experience is desirable. A customer-focused role model who can actively demonstrate effective call-handling techniques and articulate the benefits of products and services in line with your customer's goals. Experience in exceeding operational or commercial objectives. A strong collaborator with experience working with senior management, board-level, and multi-stakeholder decision-making units. You will be industry-focused andâ¯consciously invest time in understanding the factors that influence the automotive industry allowing you to form opinions on their impact on Autotraderâs immediate and future priorities. Previous experience within the automotive industry is desirable. You will have operational strategic experience, including planning, understanding, and communicating operational and financial data. You will be well organised and can prioritise effectively. You will be comfortable with change, working in a fast paced environment and taking a proactive approach to your learning and development. Benefits Weâre offering a salary of £47,500 â £65,000, plus an additional 10% of your salary awarded to you in shares each year. These awarded shares will become yours in yearly instalments over the next three years, and you can choose to either sell them or keep them as shares. You'll have 28 days holiday per year, and that's in addition to bank holidays and half day closures on Christmas and New Year's Eve. Thatâs not all. You'll be enrolled in our pension scheme, where our standard contributions are 7% and employee contributions are 5%.
