About the role:
Porchlight provides safe and supportive accommodation to people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or other vulnerabilities. We're looking for a reliable, professional cleaner to help us maintain welcoming, hygienic, and safe environments across our supported housing and office locations.
This role involves a mix of routine and ad hoc cleaning tasks in communal areas, void properties, and office spaces. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our homes and workplaces are clean, comfortable, and dignified for residents, staff, and visitors.
The role requires:
* Someone dependable, practical, and empathetic.
* Confidence working alone.
* Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and infection control.
* Being comfortable engaging professionally with vulnerable residents.
* Driver with own transport.
Working pattern: 22.5 hours per week. We welcome applications from candidates who prefer to work 3 full days or reduced hours over 5 days.

Contract type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2027.
Interview date: 3rd June 2026.
The contract for this role runs until 31st March 2027 whilst we pilot in-house cleaning services. We hope to make these roles permanent if new funding is obtained, but this isn't guaranteed at the time of writing this job advert.
