Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 22 hours per week, term time only; split shift 07:15-09:30 and 14:30-16:30
Worker Type: Offsite Worker
Salary: Starting salary is £25,992 (Level one) rising to £26,835 (Level three) per annum (pro rata for part-time). This is a part-time post with salary starting at approximately £13,200 per annum.

About The Role
To maintain passenger comfort while providing transport to and from Special Educational Schools and Day Centres. Providing care, responsive, and effective support whilst driving passengers with physical, mental, and/or developmental disabilities.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Ability to ensure the vehicle is fit for the route and complies with maintenance schedules, including completing daily checks and operating the tail lift correctly. Properly securing all wheelchairs in accordance with training.
* Ability to liaise effectively with Passenger Assistants, parents/carers, and other professionals, reporting issues promptly.
* Knowledge of infection control protocols to prevent infection spread.
* Full UK driving license with a D1 category (or category D).
* Experience in manual handling of people, including pushing wheelchairs, supporting ambulant passengers, using vehicle tail lift, and securing wheelchairs.
* A DBS enhanced check for regulated activity is required.
