Lecturer in Electrical Installation (EL805)
Salary: £27,486 – £41,467 pro rata per annum (Actual £13,743 – £20,733)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 18.5hrs per week
Location: Crewe Campus
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and teach on a range of Electrical Installation courses
* Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment
* Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College
Key Person Specification Requirements
* Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
* GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths
* PGCE or commitment to work towards
* Proven experience of electronic and electrical systems including industrial, power and electronics, fault finding procedures and control systems
* Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment
* Up-to-date occupational experience
* Enhanced DBS check
We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme which provides staff with a range of support and training based on previous experience and individual need. The programme offers induction related to all College systems and processes, an assigned curriculum mentor, and regular 1-2-1 support from the Quality team. Industry experts who do not currently hold a teaching qualification will be supported through our “Introduction to Teaching at Cheshire College South & West 12-week programme.”
