Location: Stores Road
Permanent, Full-time 37 Hours. Monday Friday, 2 Shifts 6am - 2pm and 12noon - 8pm
Salary: £36,124 - £38,626 a year Pay award pending
Opportunity for Overtime on Bank Holidays at triple time and Call Out Rota with standby payment for availability to work with payment at time and a quarter for time spent on actual call outs.

The Opportunity
In the role of HGV Technician heres an example of what youll be doing to make an impact:
You will be part of a hardworking and dedicated team, to carry out the repair, maintenance and diagnostics of Heavy and Light Commercial Vehicles and associated equipment. This may include electrical and hydraulic systems along with some welding and fabrication work.
There will be an opportunity to work overtime on Bank Holidays.
You must be willing to go on a call out standby rota covering out of hours breakdowns with a standard standby payment for being available to work fee and payment at time and a quarter for time spent on actual call outs.
About You
To be successful in this role, youll have:
* City and Guilds Level 1,2 and 3 or equivalent NVQ Standard in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair along with relevant, previous experience working on HGV vehicles.
* Experience of specialist vehicles such as RCVs and Road Sweepers, this would be desirable but is not essential.
* A full HGV licence with DCPC however, training can be provided to a successful candidate.
We are committed to the training and development of our teams. As a minimum the successful candidate will need to have the heavy goods maintenance City & Guilds NVQ or equivalent qualification, however should you feel you do not meet all of the remaining criteria for this role, we would be happy to look at how we can support you to achieve this with training in the post.
