You will support a gentleman with a spinal cord injury in Paignton, Devon.
About the Role
You will assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and companionship in a beautifully adapted home.
* Location: Paignton, Devon – a stunning seaside hotspot.
* Client personality: A sociable joker who loves forming connections.
* Driving: You will drive the client’s adapted vehicle; confident drivers with a clean licence preferred.
* Daily support: Assist with personal care, mobility, meal prep, and companionship.
Rota & Pay
3 weeks live‑in, followed by 3 weeks off. Eligible staff may join the standby rota and work from home.
Pay rate: £139.81 per day. Competitive travel and food allowance per day. Double pay on Christmas Day.
Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation and daily living activities.
* Support the client with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
* Observe and record the client’s health status and ensure safety and well‑being.
* Arrange transportation for appointments, outings and travel.
* Maintain client confidentiality and notify changes in medication.
Training & Support
Paragon provides full training before you start, including e‑learning and in‑person sessions. No previous spinal care experience required.
