Job Title: Assistant Headteacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Underley Garden School, Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2DZ
Salary: Up to £46,000.00 per annum dependent on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover until August 2026), Term Time only
About The Role
To ensure effective curriculum delivery and high-quality teaching and learning, and to meet all statutory requirements. Lead on attainment and progress, curriculum innovation, and professional development related to curriculum, teaching, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Improve the quality of teaching and learning by establishing effective approaches, monitoring curriculum areas, and reviewing innovative practices.
2. Plan and implement the School Improvement Plan related to teaching, learning, curriculum, and professional development.
3. Coordinate and manage the work of specified leaders to uphold outstanding outcomes.
4. Develop practices for engaging pupils, parents, and the broader community in school review processes.

Additional Information
