A leading mechanical and electrical engineering company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead strategic growth across key energy and industrial sectors. With a strong reputation for delivering turnkey projects, long-term maintenance solutions, and expert workshop fabrication services, this is a pivotal role within a growing organisation.
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll help shape the commercial future of the business, expanding market share and strengthening long-term client partnerships, while driving workshop revenue to over £2 million annually.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Leadership: Help grow the business to a sustainable £20 million turnover.

Market Expansion: Penetrate core markets including:

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
*
Power Generation
*
Energy-from-Waste
*
Paper Mills
*
Industrial Sites
*
Client Relationship Management: Win and grow high-value contracts, particularly Long-Term Agreements (LTAs).

Workshop Sales Growth: Promote in-house fabrication capabilities to support key accounts and expand revenue.

Sales Pipeline Ownership: Maintain a qualified pipeline through the CRM system, delivering accurate forecasts and updates to senior leadership.
Requirements
*
Proven success in a senior sales role within the mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering space.
*
Strong technical background with the ability to confidently engage clients on engineering-led solutions.
*
Deep understanding of BESS, energy, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
*
Track record of growing annual sales pipelines to £20M+ with consistent margin performance.
*
Experience in workshop fabrication sales is highly desirable.
*
Commercially driven, with excellent negotiation and client engagement skills.
*
Previous exposure to working within a group structure or private equity environment is a plus.
