3 months contract with local authority We are seeking a dedicated individual to oversee the delivery of a high-quality tenancy and estates management service across the district. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tenancy-related matters, ensuring compliance with tenancy agreements, investigating anti-social behavior, and maintaining a visible presence on council estates. This role requires the ability to handle complex and sensitive cases, maintain regulatory compliance, and work collaboratively with legal representatives and other partners. Key Responsibilities: Manage tenancy-related matters and provide advice and assistance to tenants Investigate and address anti-social behavior and breaches of tenancy conditions Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, good practice, and regulatory requirements Manage own caseload in line with performance targets, prioritizing workloads Maintain a visible profile on council estates to provide excellent estate management Conduct estate management inspections and address environmental issues Process requests for permissions, alterations, and improvements to properties Undertake property inspections for tenanted properties Review introductory tenancies in line with procedures and legislation Investigate and make decisions on individual cases regarding housing management activity Deal with reports of abandoned properties, subletting, and trespassing Provide housing advice and handle office administration Identify and support vulnerable tenants, making appropriate referrals Keep detailed records of all actions taken and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices Present cases at court for possession and appeal hearings Liaise with internal and external agencies, represent the council at meetings, and attend tenant and resident meetings Work in partnership with the Income Team and Anti-Social Behaviour Team Requirements Requirements: Proven experience in tenancy and estates management Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle complex and sensitive cases Excellent organizational and time management abilities Collaborative and team-oriented mindset Familiarity with court procedures and possession hearings Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (if applicable)
