35 hours per week term time only and may include teacher training days on an additional/optional basis. Additional hours are negotiable.

The Governors at Ysgol Parc y Llan are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and dedicated person who will undertake the above role in support of the school community. This is a key role within the school team being front of office and often the first point of call. We are looking for someone who shares our values, takes pride in their work and brings warmth, positivity and care to the role.
The principle responsibilities will include servicing all the administrative needs of the school and those delegated by the Headteacher, and Senior Management Team. The working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.00pm. Additional hours may be available on request and/or during busy times of the year.
The successful candidate will be educated to a good standard, demonstrating very good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills. The key requisites of this position are professionalism, integrity and confidentiality. Additionally, the post holder must be able to work independently, as part of a team and display enthusiasm and flexibility. The post holder must be self-motivated and willing to work largely unsupervised and must be able to foster a highly organised administrative operation. They must be approachable and friendly as they will be the first contact visitors will have with the school.
Essential skills:
Experience of working in a busy School Office or an Educational Setting.
Knowledge and experience of SIMS, SchoolComms, P2P and other Flintshire County Council school systems and processes
A sound knowledge of digital skills, including word processors and spreadsheets.
The ability to relate well to adults and children.
A caring, trustworthy and honest nature.
Excellent communication skills and to be organised and efficient.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt in a busy working environment and changing priorities.
The ability to work in a team under directions and independently.
Must be kind, caring and have a sense of humour.
Desirable skills:

Experience of working in a busy School Office or an Educational Setting.
Intermediate level of the Welsh language or a desire to learn and promote Welsh.
