Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced clinician with a specialist interest in Lung Cancers. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of established consultants including Drs Shahreen Ahmad, Daniel Smith, Michael Skwarski and Irene De Francesco. They will be supported by a team of Clinical Nurse Specialists. The service is led by Dr Hartmut Kristeleit, Clinical Director for Oncology, and Dr Mary Lei, Deputy Clinical Director for Clinical Oncology.
Role and Responsibilities
* This Consultant post comprises 8.75 Programmed Activities (PAs) and is focused on supporting the Lung Oncology Services at GSTT, KCH and LGT, to provide clinical oncology services to the GSTFT Cancer Centre and South East London Cancer Network.
* Participate in research activities and clinical trials as required.
* Participate in clinical and other service activities with the objective of ensuring a high standard of patient care.
* Take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training.
* Contribute to the management of the clinical service and service development.
Qualifications and Experience
* Fully registered with the GMC, hold a Licence to Practise, and be listed on the Specialist Register with CCT in Oncology — or within 6 months of attaining CCT by the date of interview.
* A Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) or equivalent is essential, along with broad experience in Clinical Oncology, including systemic anti-cancer therapy and radiotherapy.
* A research degree is highly desirable.

Salary
£109,725 to £145,478 a year per annum excluding London Zone (Pro rata).
