As a Business Analyst within Royal Mail Group Technology (CRM Portfolio), you will play a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions that support our commercial and customer operations.

Working within a Sales/CRM-focused domain, you will collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Commercial, Technology, and Product teams to understand business needs, define requirements, and deliver solutions that drive measurable value.

This role combines strong Business Analysis capability with product ways of working, operating in an evolving Agile, product-aligned environment. You will contribute to the continuous flow of value across squads by translating business objectives into epics, features, and user stories, ensuring work is well-defined, prioritised, and ready for delivery.

You will act as a critical bridge between business and technology, supporting both change initiatives and product-based delivery, with a particular focus on CRM platforms (including Salesforce) and sales processes.





Key Accountabilities

Core Business Analysis

* Facilitate workshops to elicit, challenge, and refine business, functional, and non-functional requirements
* Translate business needs into clear, high-quality outputs including:
o Process flows (BPMN/UML)
o Requirements documentation
o User journeys and service maps
* Ensure traceability of requirements across the delivery lifecycle
* Collaborate with architects, developers, test teams, and suppliers to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes
* Support impact assessments, risk identification, and change control
* Contribute to business case development and benefit tracking
* Build strong stakeholder relationships across Sales, Commercial, and Technology teams

Product & Agile Responsibilities

* Partner with stakeholders to define business outcomes and value-driven priorities
* Translate objectives into epics and features aligned to the product roadmap
* Break down epics into delivery-ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria
* Support backlog creation, refinement, and prioritisation in collaboration with Product teams
* Act as a key point of contact within squads, providing clarity to developers and testers
* Participate in Agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, reviews)
* Continuously iterate requirements based on feedback and evolving priorities

Skills & Experience

Essential

* Proven experience as a Business Analyst within technology delivery environments
* Strong experience working with Sales, CRM, or Commercial domains
* Hands-on experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management
* Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models
* Ability to write user stories and acceptance criteria aligned to business value
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proficient in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word

* Experience working with Salesforce (Sales Cloud or similar CRM platforms)
* Exposure to product-led environments and product operating models
* Experience in data-rich or complex enterprise environments
* Familiarity with SAFe or similar frameworks
* Domain experience in logistics, delivery, or e-commerce
* Understanding of data privacy, compliance, and regulatory considerations
* Relevant certifications (BCS, IIBA, Agile)
