We are currently looking for a Battery Algorithms Engineer who will join a team of experienced battery experts developing innovative software solutions.
The successful candidate will support the development and validation of battery performance algorithms within the Embedded products, working with both internal and external customers.
The Battery Algorithms Engineer will:
1. Support the deployment of algorithms into the Embedded product stream, working closely with the application engineering team to resolve issues identified in the field.
2. Develop battery performance algorithms and diagnostics for deployment on battery management systems.
3. Evaluate and implement approaches that accelerate and lightweight our existing algorithms.
4. Support Model-in-the-loop & cell-in-the-loop validation workflows for BMS algorithm testing & benchmarking.
5. Use existing tools and/or develop tools to support algorithm release testing and benchmarking.
The Battery Algorithms Engineer will have:
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) in a relevant STEM subject (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.), or equivalent experience.
* Strong technical background in control systems/algorithms development.
* Deep understanding of linear and non-linear dynamic systems, stochastic differential equations, and probabilistic filtering.
* Experience with cell modelling tools such as PyBaMM, COMSOL or similar.
