Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and managing staff.
* Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality.
* Collaborate with the team to develop innovative menu items.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies when needed.
* Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards.
* Handle any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
* Proficient in food preparation, cooking methods, and presentation skills.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
