Join to apply for the Civil Engineering Graduate Scheme - North role at Kier Group. We are looking for Graduate Civil Engineers to join our NRNN & Transportation teams based across various Northern locations.
Responsibilities
* As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you'll be an essential part of our engineering team, helping to shape the future of construction across the UK. You'll have the chance to work in a variety of teams, either on-site where the action happens or in a design-based role, depending on interests.
* Assisting in the preparation and management of project designs, plans, and specifications.
* Supporting the development and monitoring of project schedules and budgets.
* Conducting site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
* Collaborating with project managers and engineers to solve technical issues and ensure project success.
* Preparing technical reports, documentation, and providing project updates.
What we offer
* Starting salary: £30,000 per annum with potential £4,750 car allowance (depending on eligibility).
* Permanent, full-time 2-year graduate programme leading to an assistant level role with potential salary around £38k.
* Locations: Salford, Warrington & Penrith with flexibility to travel/relocate.
* Starting date: September 2026.
* Benefits include 26 days annual leave and 24/7 wellbeing support.
Pathway and progression
* Pathway: Permanent, Full-time 2-year programme, leading to an assistant level role upon completion.
What we are looking for
* Graduating in 2026 or recent graduate within the past three years with a degree in Civil Engineering.
* A related Degree in Civil Engineering.
* Organised with excellent time management skills and strong analytical abilities.
* Excited about starting a career in construction engineering and able to solve problems.
* Full UK driving licence.
