Director of Sales – Luxury Country House Hotel & Spa

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Director of Sales to join a prestigious 5-star country house hotel and spa in Buckinghamshire.
Our client operates a stunning luxury property featuring elegant guest accommodation, a destination spa with pool and gym facilities, award-winning dining, and a thriving weddings, events, and corporate business. They are seeking a strategic sales leader to drive revenue growth across all market segments.
The Role
As Director of Sales, you will lead the hotel’s sales strategy, maximising revenue across rooms, spa, leisure, weddings, conferences, and events. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, strengthening key relationships, and delivering ambitious revenue targets.
This role requires a dynamic and proactive sales professional who understands the luxury hospitality market and thrives on building strong commercial partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement the hotel’s overall sales and revenue strategy
* Drive corporate, MICE, weddings, and leisure segment growth
* Identify and secure new business opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally
* Manage key corporate accounts, agencies, and event planners
* Work closely with Revenue Management to optimise ADR, occupancy, and RevPAR
* Promote the hotel’s spa memberships, treatments, and wellness packages
* Lead and develop the sales and events team
* Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
* Deliver against agreed sales targets and budgets
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as a Director of Sales or Senior Sales Leader within a 4 or 5-star hotel, resort, or luxury venue
* A strong background in luxury weddings, corporate events, and high-end leisure sales
* A well-established network within the corporate and MICE market
* Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills
* A strategic and data-driven approach to sales performance
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales teams
* A passion for luxury hospitality and delivering premium guest experiences
