We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Kitchen Design Checker to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and feasibility of kitchen designs before they are approved for ordering and installation. The successful candidate will review plans prepared by our design team, ensuring all specifications are correct and practical, and that projects can proceed smoothly with minimal errors.
Responsibilities
* Review and check kitchen design plans for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with company standards.
* Verify that all measurements, appliances, finishes, and components are correct and suitable for installation.
* Identify errors, inconsistencies, or potential installation issues within design files before orders are placed.
* Liaise with designers, surveyors, and project managers to clarify or correct discrepancies.
* Provide feedback directly to surveyors where plans do not align with site measurements or practical installation requirements.
* Ensure designs meet health and safety, manufacturing, and installation requirements.
* Approve or return plans with detailed feedback for amendments.
* Maintain accurate records of checked and approved designs.
* Support continuous improvement by providing feedback to design and installation teams.
Experience & Skills
* Previous experience in kitchen design, technical checking, or a related construction/interior role is essential.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar).
* Strong understanding of kitchen components, appliances, and installation requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve potential issues.
* Strong communication skills to provide clear feedback to designers, surveyors, and colleagues.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
