Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Dining Assistant to join our NHS Client. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meal service to patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met with professionalism and care. Responsibilities
* Serve meals to patients in accordance with prescribed dietary requirements and hospital protocols
* Assist with food preparation and plating, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas before, during, and after service
* Support the delivery of catering services for special events or patient requests
* Ensure food safety procedures are adhered to at all times, including proper handling and storage of food items
* Provide friendly and courteous service, fostering a welcoming environment for patients
* Collaborate with kitchen staff and healthcare professionals to coordinate meal timings and special dietary needs
* Support accurate patient menu ordering and ensure all related documentation is completed and filed.
Requirements
* Previous experience in catering, serving, or hospitality roles is desirable, especially within healthcare or hospital settings
* Level 2 Food Hygiene
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential
* Experience in food preparation or restaurant work, including barista experience, is advantageous
Shifts Available
Monday – Friday:
07:30 – 15:00 (35 hours)
16:00 – 20:00 (20 hours)
Saturday & Sunday:
07:30 – 19:00 (21 hours)
