Summary:
An ever-growing industrial/commercial laundry equipment distributor is seeking high-quality Service Technicians, looking for a career, to join our company. Our Company has been in business for over 50 Years. Service Technician will perform repairs to customers’ equipment in a timely and professional manner. Act as liaison between customer and Parts Department to ensure that proper parts are ordered as needed. Communicate with dispatch on each service call to ensure proper billing and customer resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Repair commercial and industrial laundry equipment at customer locations.
* Fill out and submit service call paperwork completely, accurately, and timely.
* Work with dispatch to ensure the schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
* Effectively communicate with:
o Customers
o Dispatch
o Parts – including warranty return
o Manager and other office co-workers
o Equipment Vendors as necessary
o Provide excellent customer service
o Punctuality and attendance are crucial
Position Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities):
* Strong mechanical aptitude.
* Ensure compliance with company, industry and regulatory safety standards and protocols.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good computer skills.
* Requires walking, standing, driving, sitting, squatting, kneeling, reaching overhead, and twisting and turning.
* Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
* Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Qualifications:
* Associate degree, or trade school degree, or 4 years equivalent HVAC/industrial equipment tech experience.
* Strong electrical knowledge is required - ability to troubleshoot PLC controls; experience with single, three phase and low voltage circuits and knowledge of AC and DC drives required.
* Maintain a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
* Being able to drive a full-size van.
* Must be able to read, write and speak English.
* Must be legally eligible for employment in the U.S.
