Head of Learning and Development
Location: Yorkshire & North East (Regional role with hybrid/flexible working)
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 DOE + Car Allowance + Benefits

Are you passionate about people development and creating a culture of continuous learning? We are working with a growing care provider to recruit a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Learning and Development to lead the L&D strategy across their services in Yorkshire and the North East.
This is a key leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering a high-impact learning and development programme that supports workforce capability, compliance, and retention across all levels of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and oversee the organisation’s learning and development strategy across all services.
* Lead on the development and delivery of mandatory training, induction, and role-specific development pathways.
* Identify skills gaps and design targeted training interventions that support quality care delivery and service growth.
* Work closely with operations, quality, and HR teams to ensure training aligns with regulatory requirements and organisational priorities.
* Develop leadership and succession planning programmes to build future talent from within.
* Evaluate training effectiveness and impact, reporting outcomes to the senior leadership team.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in a senior L&D role within the health or social care sector.
* Strong understanding of CQC training requirements and care workforce development needs.
* Skilled in designing and delivering engaging, adult-focused training content.
* Experience in implementing e-learning and blended learning approaches.
* A confident communicator who can build relationships across all levels of the business.
* A recognised training qualification (e.g., CIPD, L&D Level 5 or above) is desirable.
