This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on production engineering expertise to improve manufacturing workflows, enhance productivity, and maintain operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage production engineering processes, including process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and problem-solving initiatives. * Define, implement, and uphold production standards, with a focus on welding, processing, and operational equipment. * Oversee the planning and coordination of production projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. * Provide leadership in troubleshooting production line issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime. * Foster innovation in manufacturing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to introduce new technologies, tools, and methods. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise resource utilisation and output quality. * Manage and develop the Production Engineering Team, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders to align production goals with business needs. * Oversee the implementation of production-level engineering requirements, including testing and validation of processes and products. * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout production operations. Skills & Experience: * Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in manufacturing/engineering. * Proven experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and building high-performing teams. * Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities. * Professional accreditation with an industry-related body would be advantageous. * Experience withing welding or fabrication is desirable. * CAD experience is desirable.
