Welding Engineer Location: Stockport Salary: Circa £60,000 benefits Job Type: Permanent We’re looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to take a lead role in maintaining and developing an established Welding Quality Management System within a high-integrity engineering environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to step into a role with real influence across welding coordination, quality assurance, and technical support functions. Please note: Only candidates who meet the following essential criteria will be considered: IWT or EWT qualified Registered with The Welding Institute (TWI) CSWIP 3.1 certified Previous experience in welding coordination In-depth knowledge of MIG/MAG (SMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding processes Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and documentation Working knowledge of ISO 3834 Experience with external audit activity About the Role As the Welding Engineer, you’ll be part of a specialist quality team and act as the Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) for the site. You’ll be involved in day-to-day welding operations, support new product introductions, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvements in welding processes. This is a broad and hands-on role that spans quality control, documentation, internal audits, and equipment strategy.
