What's involved with this role: Role: Commercial Officer Job Ref: QAD 3687/3004 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate Hours per week: 37 hours Contract Length: 3 months, potential extension Location: Bristol Location: London or Bristol (no preference). 2 days per week in office/onsite – some travel may be required to London office if Bristol based, expenses will be paid in line with expenses policy We are seeking a Commercial Officer with a strong emphasis on procurement to support a dynamic and evolving project environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to commercial delivery. Key responsibilities include providing expert advice and guidance on procurement strategies, tendering processes, and, where applicable, contract management. The role also involves the continuous development and maintenance of the commercial pipeline, encompassing both current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") contractual arrangements. Key accountabilities: Provide commercial support and advice/guidance on routes to market, tendering processes and, where appropriate, contract management. Assist the development of complex end-to-end procurements ensuring innovation. Undertake supply market analysis to ensure an effective understanding of the market dynamics to inform appropriate commercial strategies. Provide Contract administration and management suppliers & contracts within area of accountability. Key criteria: Experience in public sector procurement, including knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and CCS Frameworks, with a delivery track record. Skilled in developing and delivering complex Invitations to Tender, negotiations, and contracts with bespoke conditions. Proven ability to build positive relationships and influence stakeholders across diverse groups. CIPS or working towards. High proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
