We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Teacher of PE who can deliver KS3 PE, Core KS4 PE and year 12 PE enrichment sessions. Applications from ECTs are welcome.
Contract: Fixed-term (Maternity Cover) | Full-time | Required for April 2026 | With potential for a TLR post.
KS3 and KS4 Physical Education : This will involve planning and teaching practical core PE lessons across KS3 and KS4. Sports covered in core PE include: Athletics, Netball, Trampolining (yr8+), Gymnastics (yr7 only), Dance, Badminton, Table Tennis, OAA, Fitness, Rounders and Potted team games. We also run a number of interhouse competitions, external competitions and fixtures, which interested candidates would need to support/ facilitate.
KS5 Physical Education : at KS5 PE facilitates enrichment lessons per week for yr12 students, which covers a range of sports with a small group of Year 12 and 13 students who have chosen this enrichment option.
The department is well-resourced with equipment and there is an experienced and well-established team to support with planning and delivery.
Person Specification
You must possess the following:
* British Gymnastics Trampolining Coaching Award – Level 2.
* British Gymnastics Coaching Award Level 1+.
* Basic knowledge and interest in the sports that we offer here, or a willingness to learn.
* IT competency [Word, Outlook, Excel, and specialist software where needed].
* Ability to engage with internal systems for ordering, reporting issues etc.
* Ability to self-manage time and workload and adhere to deadlines.
* Good organisational skills, communication skills and an ability to work within a team.
* A willingness to be flexible and adaptable, to meet the needs of the department.
