ROLE: Hardware Verification Engineer
LOCATION: Hemel Hempstead, UK (Hybrid Preferred | Remote Considered)
CONTRACT: Contract | Outside IR35 (both options available)
HOURLY: Negotiable
About the company: A leading-edge tech company developing next-gen silicon IP across compute, graphics, AI, communications, memory, and security, enabling tomorrow’s innovations across key industries. They are expanding their UK-based engineering team and hiring multiple ASIC Design Engineers (mid-level to senior architect).
About the role: As a Hardware Verification Engineer, you will be a key part of our engineering team, ensuring our complex RISC-V-based systems are robust, high-performing, and built to scale.
What you will be doing:
• Creating and executing thorough verification plans for complex hardware designs
• Developing SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches for functional verification
• Running directed and constrained-random tests
• Maintaining regression suites to validate design quality
• Supporting system-level performance validation
• Debugging design issues and working closely with design engineers
• Using formal verification techniques when appropriate
Requirements:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware verification (preferably in SoCs)
• Strong skills in SystemVerilog and UVM
• Experience with modern verification tools (ABV, CDV, etc.)
• Bonus: Experience with GPU, vector processors, or AI accelerators
• Bonus: Familiarity with RISC-V architecture
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Scripting experience (Python, Perl, TCL)
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
