Job Title: Night Hygiene Manager
Location: North Curry, Somerset
Working Hours: Tuesday – Friday: 10pm – 6am and Saturday: 5pm – 9am
Hourly Rate: £14.50 per hour (Tuesday – Friday) & £18.13 per hour (Saturday)
Duration: Immediate start, temp to perm
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Overnight / Weekend Hygiene Crew Manager to lead and oversee the hygiene team. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5–6 people, ensuring all hygiene and safety standards are met, and maintaining clear communication with senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and supervising the overnight/weekend hygiene crew (5–6 staff)
- Ensuring site security and personnel safety during working hours
- Loading and unloading the cooker, completing paperwork, and inserting data loggers (full training provided)
- Maintaining food safety standards across all areasDeep cleaning all departments and equipment in line with internal procedures
- Completing documentation, including daily communication with Operations Manager and Technical Director
- Managing in-house laundry
- Removal of rubbish and maintaining yard cleanliness
- Conducting temperature checks across the site
- Enforcing correct procedures and PPE compliance
- Minimising risk of damage to equipment by water and chemicals
- Delivering staff training
- Acting as first aid and fire marshal following completion of probation
Requirements:
- Own transport essential due to rural location and working hours
- Experience managing teams and working in hygiene/food safety environments desirable
- Ability to start immediately
