Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Location: Barking and Dagenham | Pay: £95 - £105 per day | Contract: Temp to Perm | Hours: 8:30 - 4:00 Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school in Barking and Dagenham. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and helping students thrive academically and personally. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Help with classroom management and behaviour support. Assist with the preparation of learning materials. Supervise students during breaks and outdoor activities. Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required. Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment. Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Relevant teaching assistant qualification (desired but not mandatory). Previous experience working with primary school students (desired). Understanding of SEN and the ability to support students with diverse needs. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
