The EHCP, High Needs & Transition Co‑ordinator will work closely with the administrator alongside the Learning Support Co‑ordinator and assist the Team Leader to remove barriers to learning ensuring that learners with additional needs have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
Work alongside the Learning Support Coordinator and assist the Team Leader to remove barriers to learning for learners with additional needs; oversee the learner journey for those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and/or high needs from transition to college and final stages, preparing them for next steps. Work with curriculum teams to break down barriers and ensure these learners can achieve successful outcomes both academically and socially. Maintain effective relationships with schools and local authorities and oversee tracking and funding systems relating to EHCP and high‑needs learners.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 2 qualification in a vocational or key skill area; willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification linked to support, learning or disability.
* Relevant qualification and/or equivalent experience.
* Thorough knowledge of legislation regarding learners with difficulties/disabilities (e.g., SEN Code of Practice, Single Equality Duty, Health and Safety).
* Broad curriculum knowledge/qualification structure (e.g., BTEC, City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeships).
* Experience supporting learners with difficulties/disabilities across a range of curriculum areas in an educational environment, addressing social, emotional and behavioural barriers.
* Planning and delivering support for a wide variety of needs across all course levels using a range of methodologies, including assistive technologies and supporting learners with access arrangements for exams.
