Main Duties of the Job
The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care within our growing Head & Neck Cancer service, contributing to the diagnosis, treatment, and reconstruction of oncology patients. The role also includes participation in the 1:5 OMFS consultant on-call rota for emergency cover and active engagement in departmental leadership, service development, and education.
Your week will include a balance of theatre sessions, outpatient clinics, MDT participation, and supporting professional activities such as research, audit, and teaching. You'll have the autonomy to tailor your job plan (10-12 PAs) to your interests, including opportunities in education, innovation, and leadership.
You Will
* Deliver safe, high‑quality care to patients referred under 2WW and oncology pathways
* Contribute to multidisciplinary Head & Neck, Skin, and Deformity MDTs
* Participate in general OMFS emergency on‑call cover (1:5)
* Take part in departmental meetings and support service improvement and governance
* Teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate trainees, fostering clinical excellence
* Engage in continuing professional development, with study leave time and funding available
