The Role
Data Analyst
Your responsibilities:
Analyze and prioritize very-high, high, medium, and low-risk screening gaps; support tactical fixes with data evidence.
Provide data inputs for solution-agnostic, high-level functional and non-functional business requirements.
Model and forecast alert volumes under revised processes, tactical changes and organizational design.
Perform detailed analysis of spike remediation activities, including alert decision playback.
Support automation of daily Adverse Media (AdM) screening through accurate data mapping and validation.
Analyze current screening investigation processes and procedures to identify inefficiencies and recommend data-driven improvement opportunities.
Provide metrics and KPIs to measure process optimization success.
Document current screening coverage and list management; identify gaps and propose changes.
Skills and Competencies
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex datasets.
Expertise in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Ability to link data insights to operational efficiency and strategic objectives.
Strong understanding of Financial Crime screening processes and regulatory obligations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment.
Experience
Proven experience as a Data Analyst within UK Financial Services, ideally Life & Pensions.
Strong knowledge of data structures, data quality frameworks, and reporting tools.
Hands-on experience in Financial Crime compliance projects is desirable.
Experience with MI reporting and dashboard development
