We are looking for a part-time (0.6 FTE) Teacher of Mathematics on a fixed-term basis until 31st August 2026. You will join a thriving Mathematics faculty offering GCSE Mathematics, Statistics, Further Mathematics, and A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. We value collaboration to ensure a vibrant learning and teaching experience, with opportunities for visiting speakers, trips, external lectures, presentations, and EPQ. Our Mathematics and Further Mathematics courses at A Level and GCSE are very popular and oversubscribed, with four teaching groups in Year 12 and Year 13. Our results reflect the diligence of students and staff, with 75% achieving grades A-B in A Level Mathematics in 2024, and 56% achieving A/A in A Level Further Mathematics.
A good number of students go on to study Mathematics-related courses at university, including Oxford, Cambridge, Warwick, Nottingham, Bath, and other Russell Group universities. Opportunities for super-curricular activities include a mathematics residential at Cambridge University, FMSP online courses, Maths in Action lectures, TED Talks, UKMT competitions, and leadership roles such as Maths Captain. The ability to teach Mathematics at all Key Stages is desirable, and teaching A Level Further Maths would be advantageous. Applications from ECTs are welcome.
