We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected aerospace manufacturing business. The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring all plant equipment, machinery, and site facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory standards. This position combines hands-on maintenance with compliance, documentation, and contractor coordination responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and minimise downtime across plant equipment
2. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and environmental standards
3. Conduct routine safety checks (e.g. fire alarms, emergency systems)
4. Perform planned preventative maintenance and site inspections
5. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and asset documentation
6. Source and procure parts, tools, and consumables
7. Coordinate subcontractors for servicing and statutory inspections
8. Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance processes
9. Work safely at height when required
About You
10. Strong mechanical maintenance background (essential)
11. Electrical knowledge or qualifications (desirable)
12. Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
13. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards
14. Welding experience (advantageous)
15. Forklift licence (desirable)
16. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
17. Good IT skills and confident with documentation/reporting

Working Hours
23. Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
24. Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
