We’re Hiring: Health, Safety & Environmental Officer
💰 Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 annually (DOE)
📍 Location: Phoenix Way, Swansea Enterprise Park, SA7 9HZ – Hybrid (office-based with site visits)
🕰️ Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday
About Us
At Consumer Energy Solutions (CES), we’re committed to driving excellence in health, safety, and environmental performance. We’ve invested heavily in our systems and processes, and we’re now looking for a motivated HSE Officer to help us raise the bar even higher.
This hybrid role offers the opportunity to be office-based while also carrying out important site visits. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and shaping a strong HSE culture across our organisation. You’ll also support our journey towards achieving and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Compliance & Auditing – Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring adherence to UK HSE legislation and internal policies.
* Policy & Systems Management – Support the development and improvement of HSE procedures and management systems.
* Incident & Emergency Management – Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Lead emergency planning and training.
* Training & Culture – Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to staff and contractors, embedding a proactive HSE culture.
* Environmental Management – Monitor sustainability performance and play a key role in maintaining ISO standards.
* Reporting & Engagement – Keep accurate records, produce regular reports, and liaise with regulators, auditors, and internal teams.
About You
* NEBOSH National General Certificate – essential
* NEBOSH Environmental Certificate (or equivalent) – essential
* Previous HSE experience within construction, utilities, engineering, or similar sectors
* Strong working knowledge of UK HSE and environmental legislation
* Confident in training delivery, investigations, and audits
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems
* Full UK driving licence (site travel required)
