We are now seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Lecturer in Technical Construction to join the Built Environment team at our Bersham Road campus. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire learners, contribute to curriculum development, and support the next generation of construction professionals.
About the Role
As a Lecturer in Technical Construction, you will:
• Teach a range of subjects within the built environment curriculum
• Prepare engaging learning materials and deliver high‑quality lessons
• Mark and assess student work in line with awarding body requirements
• Provide academic guidance, pastoral support, and constructive feedback
• Contribute to course planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across curriculum areas
• Complete essential documentation including registers, schemes of work, reports, and course reviews
• Support learners with diverse needs and adapt teaching approaches accordingly
What We’re Looking For
• A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant construction discipline
• Ideally a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, C&G 7407) or willingness to work towards one
• Ability to design and deliver engaging teaching materials
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with enthusiasm for learner success
• Good IT skills, including MS Office and ideally Google applications
•Understanding of quality standards and current developments within the construction sector
• Welsh language skills are essential for this post, with support available for colleagues wishing to develop their Welsh
